We managed and now it all makes sense. There are general directions, but I wish they were more detail, re: what they are for and how to put it together. The tools work great on my air pressure tank. The only thing that was a neg, so lack of directions for the tools.
The short, stubby one worked OK. There has to be a better value out there. If the long inflator worked OK, I'd give it a thumbs up, but as it is suggest you look elsewhere for a better set of accessories. Pressure gauge is flimsy and has a very cheap feel to it. The longer tire inflation part does not work correctly. The release so that air flows is too hard to depress so that when seated on the valve it does not deliver air.
All in all a great value, because buying each item separately would have cost several times the cost of the kit. I bought this kit when I got my first compressor. It comes with the basics and a few extras that I'll probably never use.
They even give you the plumber's tape for sealing the threads. After using the male connectors for all the included tools and a hose, I have one male left that has female threading. You get all the accessories you would need to compliment a newly purchased air compressor (aside from the hose of course) as well as all of the fittings you need to attach them. Your compressor should already have a female connector on it, so you should only need one female connector for the business end of the hose anyway. I am very pleased with this kit.
Otherwise, I think it's an excellent value and I'm very pleased -- even with the crappy pressure gauge. It's made from chrome plastic and I have doubts about it's accuracy, but at least it looks like it's working. So, the only way I could see to improve this at the current price is to include another female locking hose connector. The rest of the male connectors you can use for the various tools. The pressure gauge is one of those that you would see in a coffee tin at the register in Pep Boys going for 79 cents. With the air gun, you can attach any of the included nozzles such as an air pin for filling basketballs or footballs or 2 different other nozzles for various applications. It keeps all of the tools nicely organized in a clear plastic case that resembles something you'd keep fishing lures in.In all, the tools are of acceptable quality with exception of the pressure gauge. The air gun, 2 tire inflators and a pressure gauge. There are a few other connectors as well that I'm not sure what they do.The entire package is completed by the case that you get.
For the price, I think it's absolutely worth it. I wish I had another female too, but what're you gonna do. Considering a combination pressure gauge + tire inflator tool runs around $40, this kit is an excellent deal to make your new compressor purchase useful. There are essentially 4 tools in this kit. One of the nozzles has a rubber end on it.In addition to the tools, you get a bunch of male connectors (2 with female threading and 4 with male threading) and one female locking connector.
This kit is a solid starter kit, with the right amount of fittings to get you started and inflate just about anything.
